17 days till freedom. I just submitted one of my final
pieces of assessment for the semester – a whole 10 hours before it was due! So
now I’ve got a few hours to kill before work, and I cannot fathom doing any
more uni work today. Lets play
catch up!
I was a foster kitty mama for 2 weeks. His name was Gob (yes, as in Gob Bluth – any
Arrested Development fans?). If you’ve ever watched the series before, you’d
know that Gob is quite a character, so this kitty most certainly suited his
name. Within a few minutes of being dropped off, he made myself right at home.
Out of all the cats I’ve met, he was definitely one up there in terms of
personality.
Unfortunately because of poor time management on my behalf,
I wasn’t able to take as many photos of this little ball of fluff as I would
have liked to. But nevertheless, here are a few.
Sons of Sin
A friend from work was telling how amazing this new show at
Judith (Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts) was. So I decided to drag
Kirk along for our date night. I heard prior that they encouraged photography
throughout the show (which is quite unusual for theatre), so already I was
intrigued.
I think out of everything I have ever seen, this was by far
the most confronting piece. It was extremely
interactive. I was taken on stage to participate in one of the scenes. There
was just so much emotion involved in it all (one actor accidentally dislocated
his knee in a Beyonce dance number – INTENSE). Afterwards, Kirk and I just sat in silence;
neither of us knew what to say. I’m still not sure how to describe what I saw –
they say a photo speaks a thousand words.
Also - I deactivated my Facebook for personal reasons - don't panic - it's only for a few months
