Monaco. Back in Paris, when I was planning the remainder of my trip, I decided a week on Monaco would be the perfect amount of time to really get to know the tiny city-state. Great in theory. I did not take into account that it was winter. Rookie mistake.
It was raining and miserable. I spent half of my time there in my flat cooking (which in itself was refreshing after not having cooked in almost... 3 months?). With that said, I think in retrospect if I were to do it again, I would have stayed at Nice and took a day trip to Monaco. Small place, not too much to do. Unless you have 50K to blow at the casino. In which case, you'd love it!
Favourite thing about Monaco was 1. Everyone was just oozing wealth - which means the little lady on the bus wearing this seasons Valentino coat with a lowchen (google it) tucked under her arm, makes for great people watching. 2. The streets were lined with orange trees!
