The day after my birthday, it was on to planning Skye’s. Ah,
the tender age of 22. Because I was ill, simply breathing was difficult – let alone planning a party.
We worked out a rough idea, then when I was well enough to sit up, we scrapped the entire
thing and started from scratch.
Throughout discussions, the topic of *presents* came up. I absolutely love gift giving. And strongly believe in never giving a gift because of obligation. So when Skye put in her birthday request and I was ecstatic at her wish.
She wanted me to make her a flower hairband. Colours? Cream & orange. Deal.
I immediately rushed to my nearest Spotlight (I’m a Spotlight diehard) and began searching for the required items.
Skye, do you know how hard it is to find orange flowers that don’t look tacky? IMPOSSIBLE. But I did my best.

Flowers? Check.
Hot glue gun? Check.
Glue? Check.
Scissors? Check.
Metal hairband? Check.
It’s all pretty straight forward. Arrange the flowers to your personal preference and glue in place.
Be warned, it’s important to plan your arrangement first, otherwise things get a touch out of hand.
*Skye darling, I need to know now if you don’t like it. There is still plenty of time for me to make another one more to your likings.
If you have any questions about anything I’ve said above, please don’t hesitate to ask!
