Kirk & I catch up at least once a month for a date
night. We usually have tea and then see where the night takes us. Last month we
went to the most delicious authentic Indian restaurant in West End, followed
by a Morrissey concert.
He has been one of my closest friends for the past 6 years. Stuck with me thick in thin, oh boy do we have history. Throughout high school we were each other’s best & worst influences. One of our fondest memories together at CCC (my lovely high school, Cooloola Christian College) was the time we almost passed out in Maths B because we were laughing so hard. I actually thought my lungs were going to collapse. But everything just made the situation funnier. “Miss Blackburn – is there something you would like to share with the class?” Only the tears flooding down my face. Or the times we went to Victoria for skiing, and I forced him almost everyday to cook noodles for me after we accidentally went down a Black Run. Or laughing at everyone who thought we were an “item” because they couldn’t understand how we were just friends. I was devastated when you transferred schools in our final year. But we made it work.

We obviously took the whole 'High School Graduation' seriously.
This month, it was Kirk’s pick for dinner. We ended up at a Peruvian
restaurant. Kirk is into really obscure meals and that’s what we got. It was
also BYO & we forgot wine, so straight after we finished eating it was off
to find a bar before our film started. We still had an hour to kill after we
had consumed a sufficient amount of alcohol, so it was off to explore!
What a beautiful evening. I’m thinking next time we go out I’ll write up a review of the restaurant we go to regarding service / food / environment / affordability etc. Opinions? Yes? No? Maybe so?
Also I’m quite excited about next month! I’m officially
launching my first mini project for the year. So watch this space!
